2nd Cape Town International Trauma Conference

Welcome message to delegates to the 2nd Cape Town International Trauma Conference (CTITC 2019)

We wish to invite you to come and join us in Cape Town, South Africa for the 2nd Cape Town International Trauma Conference on the 21st and 22nd November 2019. This promises to be the premier international trauma meeting spearheaded by the Trauma Society of South (TSSA) and the South Africa Orthopaedic Trauma Society (SAOTS). This year we are thrilled to be associated with the South African Association of Paediatric Surgery (SAAPS) as they hold their Paediatric Surgery Congress. This collaboration allows us to highlight trauma in children as the major cause of death globally. As Nelson Mandela so eloquently stated; "Safety and security don't just happen, they are the result of collective consensus and public investment. We owe our children, the most vulnerable citizens in our society, a life free of violence and fear." This conference will stimulate debate, forge collaborations, promote evidence based management guidelines, and provide surgical practical tips from trauma experts in their fields. We look forward to seeing you here in Cape Town.
