Warsaw | Poland, 24 - 26 May, 2019
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd International Congress of Hypertension in Children and Adolescents (ICHCA) to be held in Warsaw, Poland from to 24 – 26 May, 2019. This follows a highly successful 1st ICHCA Congress held in Valencia, Spain in 2018. This was attended by 123 delegates from 46 countries emphasising the international flavour of the congress. Attendance throughout the meeting was extremely high and there was excellent interaction between speakers and delegates.
Hypertension in children and adolescents has shown exponential growth in many countries throughout the world and there is a compelling need to address this epidemic by promoting education, research and scientific exchange. The Congress has been designed to provide an innovative and comprehensive overview of the latest research developments in hypertension in children and adolescents that is relevant to both paediatric and adult internists, cardiologists, nephrologists, endocrinologists, general practitioner, pharmacologists, epidemiologists and scientists.
We plan to invite an internationally distinguished faculty of clinicians and scientists to take part in this Congress. Papers will be presented in the form of plenary sessions, symposia, workshops, oral presentations and posters, and will include outstanding scientific material that will be carefully selected by the Scientific Abstract Review Committee.
We would like to encourage the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industry to generously support the congress in this very important field of child and adolescent health.
We hope that you will enjoy the Congress and that your interaction with your colleagues from many different countries will stimulate a creative exchange of ideas that will be personally rewarding. We also hope and trust that you will enjoy your visit to the very historic and beautiful city of Warsaw in during May 2019. The congress venue is conveniently located in the centre of Warsaw.
With warmest regards,
Brian Rayner,
Chair of Scientific Committee.
Empar Lurbe and Dan Feig, Co-Chairpersons
Mietek Litwin, Chair of Local Organising Committee.
